Youth Volunteering Toolkit enters final phase of development

Over the past year, we’ve been working with Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and other VCSE infrastructure partners to develop a new Youth Volunteering Toolkit.

The development project has included extensive engagement with local organisations, young people and NHS Trusts, and a pilot phase involving six organisations.

The toolkit is designed to help organisations create meaningful volunteering opportunities for young people aged 16–25, and will include practical guidance, templates, tools, case studies and real-life examples.

The final stages include:

  • Finalising toolkit resources and content
  • Completing case studies and volunteer stories
  • Testing and refining the digital platform for the toolkit
  • Preparing for launch on 25 November 2026
