Registered charities and not-for-profit organisations across England and Wales can now apply for funding through the CLA Charitable Trust to support projects that help disabled or disadvantaged people access and enjoy the countryside.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to support projects, capital works and running costs that improve physical and mental health and wellbeing through nature-based activities.
The Trust is looking to fund a wide range of initiatives, including:
- 🌱 Farms providing day or residential experiences for disabled or disadvantaged young people.
- 🌼 Community growing projects and horticultural therapy.
- 🌳 Forest school and outdoor learning activities.
- 🦋 Conservation and environmental projects that help people learn about and care for the natural environment.
The programme is particularly keen to support projects benefiting children and young people who are disadvantaged financially, physically, mentally, or who live in areas of deprivation.
