Small UK charities working to reduce health inequalities can now apply for up to £10,000 in unrestricted funding through the GSK Community Health Programme, delivered in partnership with The King’s Fund.
The programme supports community-based charities that are improving health outcomes for people experiencing inequality, including ethnic minority communities, disabled people, LGBTQ+ communities and other disadvantaged groups.
Who can apply?
Eligible organisations must:
- Be a registered UK charity
- Have been established for at least one year
- Have an annual income of £20,000–£150,000
- Be working to reduce health inequalities within their communities
What can the funding support?
Funding is unrestricted, allowing charities to use it where it is needed most. Previous grants have supported projects including:
- Mental health support and mentoring
- Accessible sport and physical activity programmes
- Food poverty and community lunch clubs
- Early years and family wellbeing initiatives
- Mental health advocacy services
- Creative therapeutic support for children and young people
Up to 10 charities will receive funding and will also be invited to take part in an online leadership development programme, with places valued at £5,000 each.
