Community organisations across England can now apply for grants of £10,000 to £100,000 through the FCC Community Action Fund, delivered by the FCC Communities Foundation through the Landfill Communities Fund.
The programme supports capital projects that improve community facilities and protect or enhance the natural environment. Eligible projects must have a total value of up to £500,000 (including VAT) and be located within 10 miles of an eligible FCC Environment site.
Funding is available for a wide range of projects, including:
- Village halls and community centres
- Public play areas
- Multi-use games areas, skate parks and BMX tracks
- Sports and recreation grounds, pavilions and clubhouses with full public access
- Community spaces within churches that are available for hire
- Nature reserves
- Public parks, gardens, country parks and woodlands
- Museums
Eligible applicants include:
- Registered charities
- Parish and town councils
- Local authorities
- Churches and parochial church councils
- Management committees
- Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs)
Projects must be located on land that is owned, leased or managed by the applicant, with at least five years remaining on the agreement.
Before applying, organisations should use the eligibility checker on the FCC Communities Foundation website to confirm that their project is within the required distance of an eligible FCC Environment site.
